On August 30, the Press Office of Hunan Provincial Government held a press conference in Changsha City, announcing that the 2019 China (Hunan) International Cultural Tourism Festival will be held in Mangshan, Yizhang County, Chenzhou City, from September 21 to 28.

Gao Yangxian, Party Member and Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, He Jianxiang, Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City, Zhang Runhai, Deputy Secretary of Yizhang County Party Committee and County Governor, attended the conference to introduce relevant information and answer questions from reporters.

During the festival, Mangshan Scenic Area will introduce a series of preferential policies, including: from September 20 to 28, half-price discounts on admission tickets for all tourists; RMB 30/person for Yizhang County residents; RMB 30/person for Chenzhou City residents; free of admission tickets, sightseeing cars and cable car fees for Hunan-Hong Kong Special Tour Mangshan Team; half-price discount on admission tickets for all visitors from October 8 to November 8.

"It is believed that Mangshan Scenic Area and Yizhang unique southern Hunan culture will amaze tourists and become a bridgehead connecting Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area, enriching the tourist routes of Chenzhou and Hunan, and boosting the development of tourism industry." Zhang Runhai said.

This Cultural Tourism Festival will invite overseas guests and representatives, plan a series of activities for overseas tourists, and strive to make Mangshan an international tourist destination. Over the years, Hunan Province has devoted itself to cultivating international tourist destinations. At present, the focus of Hunan's tourism development is still in Western Hunan. In recent years, the areas around Dongting Lake, Eastern Hunan and Southern Hunan have been vigorously developed, which has strategic significance for Hunan Province. In recent years, Chenzhou City as the representative of Southern Hunan has taken the International Tourism Festival as an opportunity to build Mangshan into a new international tourism destination, thus driving the development of cultural tourism economy in Southern Hunan and further enhancing the influence of Hunan cultural tourism brand.

Since 2002, China International Cultural Tourism Festival has been held once a year, 16 sessions so far. 2019 China (Hunan) International Cultural Tourism Festival (Mangshan) is sponsored by Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Chenzhou People's Government, jointly hosted by Chenzhou Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau and Yizhang County People's Government, and co-sponsored by Mangshan Forest Administration Bureau and China Top View Group Mangshan Wuzhifeng Scenic Area.
